Add a Little Edge and Rock Some Leather!

Although I'm always a summer girl at heart, one thing I do love about the crisp Fall weather in Baltimore is being able to throw on a cute leather jacket with almost any look. I like mixing the edginess of this brown leather jacket I found at a boutique in NYC with this feminine, sparkly white dress from Anthropologie.
I like finding dresses and skirts with unique hemlines...makes it more interesting!
Leather Jacket: NikiBiki; Dress: Leifnotes (Anthropologie)
Horseshoe Bracelet: Doubledutch Boutique (Hampden, Baltimore City)

Belt: Anthropologie; Love these cute and comfy boots by Rocket Dog
Infinity Scarf: South Moon Under; Earrings: Urban Outfitters; Watch: Michael Kors
I'm loving all the leather I'm seeing this season...fabulous dresses, skirts, tops and pants...and can't wait to add a little more edge to some of the more classic and preppy pieces in my closet!

J'Adore Polka Dots!

I have always loved wearing polka dots...I think they are fun and whimsical...and this cardigan by the recently launched John & Jenn Collection totally caught my eye! And paired with a silk blouse, pearls and a mermaid cut skirt makes for a classic Fall work day outfit!
Fell in love with these adorable heels by Poetic License (from Poppy & Stella in Fells Point)... they're the perfect Summer to Fall transition shoe!
Bracelets: Lilly Pulitzer and Loehmann's; Watch: Michael Kors; Purse: Poppy & Stella (in Fells Point); Sunglasses: Coach
Cardigan: John & Jenn (South Moon Under); Blouse: Trinity (from Angela Lynn Boutique...used to be in Hampden but moved to Quarry Lake, Baltimore); Skirt: Ann Taylor
Pearls: Mikimoto (a beautiful gift from my fabulous hubby!); Earrings: Scout & Molly's (in Charleston, SC)

Enjoy this gorgeous Fall weather and have a little fun with polka dots this season!

Into the Wild...Let Nature Inspire You!

In nature, we find many different patterns that all seem to somehow complement one another...and when putting together an outfit, I like to try to imitate or reflect that same idea. This outfit was inspired by nature in many ways. The color and print of this jumpsuit by Luca totally caught my eye...and I was excited to mix and match it with similar colors and prints already in my closet, such as the scarf and purse. The key to putting together different patterns - is to work in similar color schemes as well as to coordinate the size of the actual print.

Scarf: Image Is; Purse: Danica (from Whimsy Boutique in Federal Hill, Baltimore, which sadly closed last year)
Bracelets: Anthropologie and In Watermelon Sugar (Hampden, Baltimore); Necklace: Boutique in Atlanta, GA
Earrings: Poppy & Stella; Sunglasses: Lacoste

Green Cardigan: Banana Republic; Booties: Matisse (from South Moon Under); Jumpsuit: Luca (from Anthropologie)

So take a walk on the wild side this Fall and try mixing together a few prints!

Wearing White After Labor Day...It's No Longer Breaking the Rules!

Kicking off this Fall season, it seems like everything I read and everywhere I look the fashion world is finally granting us permission to wear white between the months of September and May! I’ve always loved wearing the color white throughout the year…it is timeless and classy… and haven’t been afraid to break this outdated rule; but now I am thrilled that it is one of the key colors for this season. The most important factor in wearing white during the cooler months is choosing the right material. Go with white jeans, wool or heavier cottons vs. anything white linen or light. For this outfit, I wanted to channel a little of that “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” feel (one of my all-time fave movies!) by pairing a black peplum top from South Moon Under with a pair of classic white pants from Ann Taylor.

Necklace: Trifari; Purse: Jazza
Peplum Top: Abbeline (South Moon Under); White Pants: Ann Taylor
Sunglasses: Coach; Earrings: Doubledutch Boutique (Hampden, Baltimore City)
Bracelets: Urban Outfitters, Cute Boutique in St. Paul, MN, Another Cute Boutique in Atlanta, GA (I love finding fun jewelry in the different cities I visit!); Watch: Michael Kors
Black Pumps: Nine West
Love the back of this top with the lace and zipper...conservative in the front...spicy in the back!
So don’t be afraid to incorporate some white into your wardrobe this Fall. And remember, a girl can never go wrong with classic black and white!

Keeping It Neutral

As you've probably been able to tell, I have a very bright wardrobe and love wearing lots of color! But there are times that playing with a neutral palate can be a fun change up and that's exactly what I was feeling when I put this outfit together!
I'm always a fan of mixing and matching and for this it was the wood necklace and bracelet complimenting the chunky silver bracelet and belt; and the light, feminine top with the striped, tribal shorts.
Shorts - Subtle Luxury; Top - Line & Dot from South Moon Under; Bracelets - J. Crew, In Watermelon Sugar (in Hampden)and Poppy & Stella (in Fells Point)

Love the detailing on this top especially the zipper in the back!
The wooden necklace was from my fabulous, stylish Mother! The belt is from Charleston, SC.
Shoes - Two Lips
