Fun With Colors at the Laundromat

Let me just start by saying that my fabulous friend and photographer, Nicole, and I had a blast shooting this brightly colored outfit at the laundromat! Thank you to Nicole for always coming up with fun, creative and unique locations throughout Baltimore to shoot!

With Spring just around the corner, I can't wait to start wearing all my favorite bright colors again! The Pantone Fashion Colors for Spring 2013 are: Lemon Zest, Linen, African Violet, Emerald, Dusk Blue and Monaco Blue...all of which are incorporated in this flowy, kimono style top by Staring at Stars (Urban Outfitters).
Yellow Tank: MaxStudio (Loehmann's); Purple Infinity Scarf: South Moon Under
Gumball machine!! Jeans: J. Crew; Nude Pumps: Restricted (South Moon Under)
Clutch: Jessica McClintock; Earrings: House of Harlow (South Moon Under)
Bracelets: Anthropologie
Love the side braid as an easy way to deal with uncooperative hair!
So get excited to add a pop of one (or two or three!) of Pantone's colors to your closet this Spring!

A Subtle Mix of Stripes and Flowers

Flipping through my fave fashion magazines, blogs and Pinterest, I've seen stripes being paired with flowers. I love mixing patterns but this one I wasn't so sure about...so I decided to try the look in a more subtle way...a stripe top under a sheer sweater with a floral patterned statement necklace...and I have to say that I think I'm sold!

Sweater: Wooden Ships (Babe a Boutique in Fells Point); Striped Top: BB Dakota (South Moon Under)
Leather Leggings: Two by Vince Camuto (Nordstrom); Purse: JPK Paris 75; Fedora: Banana Republic
The floral statement necklace was a gift from my fabulous Aunt!
Sunglasses: Lacoste; Bracelets: Ann Taylor; Earrings: House of Harlow
Whenever there's a new style or trend out there that you like but aren't totally sure about...I encourage you to test drive it with a more subtle approach to see if it really does work with your style! This Spring I'll definitely try taking this trend to the next level by pairing one of my fave striped tops with a fun floral print skirt!

Rockin' the Romper!

I love rompers! They are cute, fun and a fabulous alternative to a dress! Dress a romper down with sandals or dress it up with heels and jewelry like I did with this one by Ark & Co. from Hanger Alley in Fells Point! And this amazing purse by Bee it Bags can be either a side bag or a clutch! The owner, Debbie, designs the most fabulous purses!

Earrings - Image Is; Belt - South Moon Under
Black Snake Skin Heels - INC at Macy's; Purse - Bee it Bags

Vegan Leather Jacket - BlankNYC; Watch - Michael Kors; Necklace - House of Harlow

Bracelets - Urban Outfitters and Zoe Boutique in Old Town Alexandria

Cheetah meets orange under I-83!

Welcome to The Baltimore Blonde! I'm super excited to begin this fabulous blogging journey and to be able to share my two fave things - fashion and running! Especially shopping and running in Baltimore, the Charm City!

So for my blog's first outfit...I love color and when I found these fabulous, bright orange pants at J. Crew, I just couldn't resist! I'm loving citrus colors this summer! I also love the contrast of the orange with the bright colored graffiti in the background...Baltimore has so many hidden gems of character and this is just one...right under I-83...
Gold belt - J. Crew; Necklace - House of Harlow
(one of my fave jewelry designers!)
I'm always drawn to shirts that have a fabulous back, with details such as the  neck tie on the back of this cheetah print shirt I bought when vacationing in the Bahamas.

It's always fun to add hats to an outfit...especially fedoras!
This one is from South Moon Under.
A huge thank you to Nicole Diffenderfer for the awesome photos!! Thank you, thank you! You rock!!
